Tell Me About Yourself ka Answer in Hindi: Freshers ke liye Structure aur Sample Answers
Tell me about yourself ka answer in Hindi: 60-second structure, Hinglish aur English sample answers freshers ke liye, common galtiyan aur follow-up questions.
"Tell me about yourself" har Indian interview ka pehla sawaal hai: TCS ka campus drive ho, Infosys ka HR round ho ya kisi startup ka video call. Freshers isko sabse kam practice karte hain kyunki yeh aasaan lagta hai. Lekin isi ek minute mein interviewer tay kar leta hai ki aap clearly bol sakte hain ya nahi, aapki baat resume se match karti hai ya nahi, aur agla sawaal kya poochhna hai.
Is guide mein aapko milega: ek simple 60-second structure, Hinglish aur English dono mein sample answers, freshers ki common galtiyan, aur woh follow-up questions jo iske baad aate hain.
Ek baat pehle saaf kar dein. Zyadatar companies mein answer English mein hi dena hota hai, isliye yahan har sample ka final English version diya gaya hai. Hinglish version sirf samajhne ke liye hai, taaki aapko pata ho ki aap kya keh rahe hain aur kyun. Poora English guide yahan hai.
अपने बारे में बताइए: interviewer asal mein kya jaanna chahta hai
Yeh sawaal time-pass nahi hai. Ek saath chaar kaam karta hai:
- Warm-up. Aap settle ho jaate hain, aur interviewer aapke bolte-bolte resume par nazar daal leta hai.
- Communication check. Kya aap ek minute bina padhe, bina "umm-aaa" ke, sahi order mein bol sakte hain? Fresher ke liye yahi sabse badi cheez judge hoti hai.
- Resume check. Agar aap bolte hain "data analysis internship ki" aur resume par likha hai "content writing intern", to round wahin kharab ho gaya.
- Steering wheel. Aap jo highlight karenge, agla sawaal usi par aayega. Final-year project ka naam liya to agla sawaal "explain your project" hoga. Yahi iska chhupa hua fayda hai: achha answer aapke follow-up questions khud chunta hai.
Campus drive mein HR din mein 30-40 logon se milta hai. Pehle 20 second mein tay ho jaata hai ki woh dhyan se sunega ya agle candidate ke notes likhne lagega.
60-second structure: Present, Past, Why, Close
Chaar hisse, isi order mein: Present, Past (proof), Why this role, Close. Freshers aksar school se shuru karke aage badhte hain. Ulta karein: aaj se shuru karein.
| Seconds | Part | Kya bolna hai |
|---|---|---|
| 0–10 | Present | Naam, degree, college, passing year, aur ek line ki aap kis cheez mein achhe hain |
| 10–35 | Past (proof) | Ek ya do kaam jo aapne kiye: project, internship, competition. Har ek ke saath result ya number |
| 35–50 | Why this role | Yeh company aur yeh role aapke liye kyun fit hai |
| 50–60 | Close | Ek line jo baat interviewer ko wapas de de |
Paanch rules jo answer ko clean rakhte hain:
- 90 second se kam. 60 best hai. 2 minute se zyada bola to monologue ban jaata hai.
- Personal details skip karein. Papa kya karte hain, gaon kahan hai, kitne bhai-behen, hobbies ki list: jab tak poochha na jaaye, mat bolein.
- Ek number zaroor. "Project banaya" bhool jaate hain. "Attendance app banaya jo batch ke 60 students ne ek semester use kiya" yaad rehta hai.
- Resume se match karein. Project aur internship ke wahi naam bolein jo resume par chhape hain.
- Full stop par khatam karein. "That's it" ya "bas itna hi" nahi. Ek clear last line batati hai ki aap confident hain.
Sample answer 1: CS fresher (Hinglish gloss + English answer)
B.Tech CSE, IT ya MCA candidate ke liye, jo service company ya product startup mein apply kar raha hai.
Hinglish mein matlab
Main Ananya hoon, VIT Vellore se CS final year, 2026 mein pass, CGPA 8.4. Java aur SQL mein sabse comfortable hoon aur mujhe project ka woh hissa pasand hai jahan ek rough idea ko working system banana hota hai. Third year mein department ke liye library management system banaya jo aaj bhi use ho raha hai. Is summer Bengaluru ke ek fintech startup mein do mahine internship ki: Spring Boot mein ek chhote reconciliation tool ka backend likha aur unke test suite ke lagbhag 20 bugs fix kiye. LeetCode par 300 ke aas-paas problems solve ki hain. Systems Engineer role isliye chahiye kyunki main real production systems par proper code review aur mentoring ke saath shuru karna chahti hoon, jo aapka training programme deta hai.
English answer (yeh bolna hai)
"I'm Ananya, a final-year Computer Science student at VIT Vellore, graduating in 2026 with a CGPA of 8.4. I'm most comfortable in Java and SQL, and I enjoy the part of a project where a rough idea has to become a working system.
In my third year I built a library management system for our department as my mini-project. It replaced a register the staff maintained by hand, and it's still in use. This summer I did a two-month internship at a Bengaluru fintech startup, where I wrote the backend for a small reconciliation tool in Spring Boot and fixed about twenty bugs in their test suite. I've also solved around 300 problems on LeetCode, mainly arrays and dynamic programming.
I'm applying for the Systems Engineer role because I want to start on real production systems with proper code review and mentoring, which is what your training programme offers. I'd be happy to walk you through the internship project in more detail."
Yeh kyun kaam karta hai: present pehle aata hai, dono proofs mein number hai, internship HR ko seedha follow-up deti hai, aur closing line woh sawaal invite karti hai jiske liye candidate taiyaar hai.
Sample answer 2: non-tech fresher (B.Com / BBA / BA)
Operations, customer support, sales ya HR role ke liye.
Hinglish mein matlab
Main Rahul hoon, is saal Delhi University se B.Com, 74 percent. Degree ke saath-saath pichhle do saal aise kaam kiye jinmein logon se baat karna aur records sahi rakhna dono tha. Second year mein college fest ka sponsorship head tha; hum 6 logon ki team ne local businesses se lagbhag 2 lakh rupaye jutaye, jo 4 saal mein sabse zyada tha. Final year mein ek CA firm mein 3 mahine internship ki, jahan 15 chhote clients ki GST filing entries sambhali aur deadline pressure mein Tally aur Excel bina galti ke chalana seekha. Operations Associate role isliye chahiye kyunki ismein meri dono strengths lagti hain: process dhyan se follow karna aur logon ke saath coordinate karke kaam close karna.
English answer (yeh bolna hai)
"My name is Rahul. I completed my B.Com from Delhi University this year with 74 per cent. Alongside the degree I've spent the last two years doing things that involve talking to people and keeping records straight.
I was the sponsorship head for our college fest in my second year, where a team of six of us raised about two lakh rupees from local businesses, the highest in four years. In my final year I did a three-month internship at a CA firm, where I handled GST filing entries for around fifteen small clients and learned to work in Tally and Excel without errors under deadline pressure.
I'm applying for the Operations Associate role because it's a mix of the two things I'm good at: following a process carefully and coordinating with people to close a task. I'd like to build a career in operations, and this is where I want to start."
Yeh kyun kaam karta hai: non-tech fresher ke paas "project" kam hota hai, isliye college responsibility aur internship ko proof banaya gaya, dono ke saath number. Last line "why this role" ka jawab poochhne se pehle de deti hai.
Sample answer 3: 2–3 saal experience
Experienced candidate ke liye ratio badal jaata hai: college kam, current role zyada, aur switch karne ka ek sachha reason.
Hinglish mein matlab
Main Priya hoon, Infosys mein 3 saal se Software Engineer, ek US insurance client ke claims-processing platform par. Trainee ke roop mein bug fixes se shuru kiya; pichhle 18 mahine se Java aur Spring ki do backend services aur unki deployment pipeline khud own karti hoon. Sabse proud jis kaam par hoon woh ek batch job hai jo maine pichhle saal rewrite ki: nightly processing 4 ghante se ghat kar lagbhag 50 minute ho gayi, aur isi wajah se manager ne mujhe client ke architecture calls mein daala. Ab product company isliye dhoondh rahi hoon kyunki main apne banaye feature ke users ke paas rehna chahti hoon aur ek ticket ki jagah poora feature own karna chahti hoon.
English answer (yeh bolna hai)
"I'm Priya. I've been a Software Engineer at Infosys for three years, working on a claims-processing platform for a US insurance client. I started as a trainee on bug fixes, and for the last eighteen months I've owned two backend services in Java and Spring, including their deployment pipeline.
The work I'm proudest of is a batch job I rewrote last year. It cut the nightly processing time from four hours to about fifty minutes, and it's the reason my manager moved me onto the client's architecture calls.
I'm looking at a product company now because I want to be closer to the users of what I build and to own a feature end to end rather than a ticket. Your job description describes exactly that, which is why I applied."
Agar interviewer Hindi mein poochhe to?
Kuch companies (khaas kar sales, BPO, retail, field roles) mein HR khud Hindi ya Hinglish mein baat karta hai. Rule simple hai: interviewer ki bhasha follow karein, lekin structure wahi rakhein. Present, Past, Why, Close. Technical words (Java, Spring Boot, GST, Excel) English mein hi rakhein; unka Hindi translation ajeeb lagta hai aur kisi ko chahiye bhi nahi. Closing line English mein rakhein, jaise "I'd be happy to walk you through the project." Isse interviewer ko lagta hai ki aap English mein bhi comfortable hain.
Agar interview poora English mein dena hai aur aapko English bolne mein jhijhak hai, to interview kaise de in English guide mein 20 common questions ke model answers hain.
Freshers ki 8 common galtiyan
- School se shuru karna. "Maine 10th Kendriya Vidyalaya se 92 percent se kiya..." Interviewer ke paas resume hai. Aaj se shuru karein.
- Resume padh dena. Answer mein woh hona chahiye jo kaagaz nahi bata sakta: result, reason, preference.
- Adjectives ki list. "I am a hard-working, sincere, dedicated and quick-learning individual." Inmein se ek ko example se dikhayein.
- Family paragraph. Bina poochhe 60 mein se 20 second chale jaate hain.
- Ratta maara English. Word-perfect answer ratta hi lagta hai. Sentences nahi, structure practice karein.
- Koi number nahi. Ek number answer ko sach jaisa banata hai.
- Kamzor ending. "So that's all about me" ke baad chuppi aati hai. "Main yahan kyun hoon" par khatam karein.
- 2 minute se zyada. Campus drive mein sirf isse round khatam ho sakta hai.
Iske baad kaun se follow-up questions aate hain
Kyunki aapka answer follow-ups chunta hai, jo aapne invite kiye unki taiyaari karein:
- "Explain your final-year project" aur "what was your role in it", agar project ka naam liya.
- "What did you actually do in the internship?", agar internship batayi. Iska 2-minute version taiyaar rakhein.
- "Why this company?" aur "why should we hire you?"
- "What are your strengths and weaknesses?"
- "Are you open to relocation, night shifts or a service agreement (bond)?"
- "Where do you see yourself in five years?"
Practice kaise karein taaki answer natural lage
Chaar parts ko sentences nahi, bullet points mein likhein. Zor se bolein aur time karein; 60 second ka target rakhein, phir 30-second aur 90-second version bhi banayein. Phone par ek baar record karein aur fillers aur speed sunein.
Phir follow-up pressure ke saath practice karein, kyunki wahin freshers atak jaate hain. MockMate ke Practice session mein interviewer persona "tell me about yourself" poochhta hai aur phir aapke jawab par react karta hai: project bola to project par sawaal, internship boli to "aapne asal mein kya kiya". Aap apni spoken language set kar sakte hain, aur transcription aur answers Hinglish (mixed Hindi-English) mein bhi kaam karte hain, isliye agar aap beech mein Hindi mein soch kar bolte hain to bhi session natural chalta hai. Session ke end mein report milti hai: har answer, response timing, baar-baar dikhne wali weaknesses, aur agla recommended practice. Eligible accounts ko 3 free Practice starts milte hain, har ek 10 minute tak, jo is sawaal aur iske follow-ups ke 3 poore runs ke liye kaafi hai. Mock interview ka matlab aur tarika alag guide mein hai.
MockMate ka Live assistance (Windows app) alag mode hai. Use sirf wahin karein jahan organisation ya interviewer assistance ki permission de aur aapne bataya ho; agar permission clear nahi hai to Practice mode use karein.
Ek zaroori baat: MockMate ka Live assistance sirf wahan use karein jahan interviewer ya organisation ne assistance allowed ki ho aur aap disclose kar sakein. Agar doubt ho, to sirf Practice mode use karein; exam ya proctored assessment mein Live mode ka use allowed nahi hai.
Aksar puche jaane wale sawaal
Tell me about yourself ka answer kitna lamba hona chahiye?
60 second ideal hai, 90 second maximum. Campus drive mein HR ek din mein 30-40 candidates se milta hai, isliye 45-60 second sabse safe hai. 2 minute se lamba answer monologue lagta hai aur interviewer ka dhyan hat jata hai.
Kya answer mein family ke baare mein batana chahiye?
Jab tak interviewer na poochhe, nahi. Indian HR rounds mein 'tell me about your family' alag se poochha jata hai. Introduction mein family daalne se aapke 60 second mein se 20 second us cheez par chale jaate hain jo poochhi hi nahi gayi.
Mere paas koi project ya internship nahi hai, tab kya bolun?
Jo hai woh use karein: college ka koi responsibility, competition, course project, ya koi skill jo aapne khud seekhi. Rule wahi hai: kya kiya aur uska ek result ya number batayein. Course assignment bhi chalega agar aap apna role explain kar sakte hain.
Kya answer Hindi mein de sakte hain?
Interviewer jis bhasha mein poochhe usi mein jawab dein, lekin technical words aur closing line English mein rakhein. Zyadatar Indian IT companies ka HR round English mein hota hai, isliye pehle English version taiyaar karein aur Hinglish version sirf samajhne ke liye use karein.
10th aur 12th ke percentage batane chahiye?
Nahi. Woh resume par likhe hain, aur jo companies unhe dekhti hain woh interview se pehle hi screen kar leti hain. Us time ko kisi result ya reason par kharch karein jo resume nahi dikha sakta.
Apna introduction adaptive mock interview mein practice karein
