Interview kaise de in English with answer: 20 common questions ka Hindi mein matlab, har ek ka English model answer, pronunciation aur confidence tips.

Updated 12 min read

"Interview kaise de in English" yeh sawaal har us fresher ka hai jisne padhai Hindi medium ya mixed medium mein ki hai aur ab pehli job ke liye TCS, Infosys, Wipro, kisi bank ya BPO ke HR round mein baithne wala hai. Achhi khabar yeh hai ki interview ki English aur school ki English alag cheez hai. Interviewer grammar ke marks nahi de raha; woh dekh raha hai ki aap apni baat saaf, chhote sentences mein, sahi order mein keh sakte hain ya nahi.

Is guide mein 20 sabse common interview questions hain. Har sawaal ke saath do cheezein: pehle Hinglish mein ki interviewer asal mein kya jaanna chahta hai, phir ek English model answer jo aap apne hisaab se badal sakte hain. End mein pronunciation aur confidence ke tips hain, aur free practice ka tarika.

Interview English mein dene ke 6 basic rules

  1. Chhote sentences. Ek sentence mein ek baat. "I did my B.Tech from LPU. I specialised in Java." Yeh "I have done my B.Tech from LPU where I have specialised in Java and also..." se kahin behtar hai.
  2. Dheere bolein. Nervous hone par speed badhti hai aur words gadbad hote hain. Har sentence ke baad ek chhota pause lein.
  3. Technical words English mein hi rakhein. Java, Excel, GST, SQL, internship: inka Hindi mat banayein.
  4. Ratta nahi, structure. Har answer ke 3-4 points yaad rakhein. Sentences har baar naye banenge, aur wahi natural lagta hai.
  5. Number zaroor daalein. "I did a project" bhool jaata hai. "I built an app that 60 students used" yaad rehta hai.
  6. Samajh na aaye to poochhein. "Could you please repeat the question?" bolna galti nahi hai. Galat sawaal ka jawab dena galti hai.

Part 1: Aapke baare mein (Questions 1–7)

1. Tell me about yourself

Kya poochha ja raha hai: aapka 60-second introduction. Aaj se shuru karein (degree, college), phir ek-do proof (project, internship), phir yeh role kyun. Family aur school ki details nahi. Poora guide: tell me about yourself in Hindi.

English answer: "I'm Rohit, a final-year B.Tech student in Computer Science at Chandigarh University, graduating in 2026. I'm most comfortable with Java and SQL. For my final-year project I built a hostel complaint-tracking app that about 200 students in our hostel use. I also did a two-month internship at a Mohali startup, where I fixed bugs in their Spring Boot backend. I'm applying for this role because I want to work on production systems with proper mentoring, which your training programme offers."

2. Walk me through your education

Kya poochha ja raha hai: resume ki timeline, lekin sirf highlights. Har class ke percentage nahi; degree, specialisation, aur ek-do cheezein jo aapne degree ke saath ki.

English answer: "I completed my schooling in Jaipur and then joined B.Com at Rajasthan University, which I finished this year with 71 per cent. During the degree I focused on accounts and taxation, and I completed a Tally certification in my second year. In my final year I did a three-month internship at a CA firm."

3. What are your strengths?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: do strengths jo is role ke kaam aayein, har ek ke saath ek example. Adjectives ki list nahi.

English answer: "My first strength is that I finish what I start. In our final-year project two members dropped out, and I completed their modules so we could submit on time. My second strength is explaining things clearly; I was the one who presented our project to the external examiner, and we scored the highest in our batch."

4. What are your weaknesses?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: self-awareness. Ek sachhi weakness jo job ke core mein na ho, ek example, aur aap us par kya kar rahe hain. "Perfectionist" mat bolein. Poora guide: what are your weaknesses in Hindi.

English answer: "I get nervous speaking in front of large groups. In my third year I rushed through a seminar presentation in half the time. Since then I've volunteered to present our project updates every week, and last month I anchored a department event for two hours. I'm still not fully comfortable, but I'm much better than a year ago."

5. Tell me about your final-year project

Kya poochha ja raha hai: problem kya tha, aapne kya banaya, aapka role kya tha, result kya tha. Poori team ka kaam apna mat batayein; interviewer follow-up mein pakad lega.

English answer: "Our project was a hostel complaint-tracking system. Students used to write complaints in a register, and nothing was tracked. We built a web app where a student raises a complaint, the warden assigns it, and the student sees the status. I built the backend in Java and Spring Boot and designed the database; two teammates did the front end. It's been running in our hostel for one semester with about 200 users."

6. What are your hobbies?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: aap kaise insaan hain, aur kya aap kisi cheez mein consistent hain. Ek-do hobbies, thoda detail. "Listening to music, watching movies" se kuch pata nahi chalta.

English answer: "I play cricket every Sunday with a local team; I've been the wicketkeeper for three years. I also read non-fiction, mostly about business; the last book I finished was about the history of Infosys."

7. Tell me about your family

Kya poochha ja raha hai: Indian HR yeh aksar poochhta hai, background aur relocation ki flexibility samajhne ke liye. Chhota, factual jawab. Personal problems nahi.

English answer: "I'm from Patna. My father runs a small business and my mother is a teacher. I have one younger sister who is in college. My family is supportive of me relocating for work."

Part 2: Motivation aur goals (Questions 8–13)

8. Why do you want to join our company?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: kya aapne company ke baare mein kuch padha hai. "Big MNC" ya "brand value" mat bolein. Ek specific cheez: training programme, koi technology, koi project.

English answer: "Two reasons. First, your fresher training programme is structured, and I want a strong foundation in my first year rather than jumping between projects. Second, I read that your Pune team works on banking clients, and my final-year project was a payments-style application, so I'd like to build on that."

9. Why should we hire you?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: role ko kya chahiye, aapke paas woh hai iska proof, aur aap kya commitment de rahe hain. Doosron se tulna nahi. Poora guide: why should we hire you in Hindi.

English answer: "This role needs strong fundamentals, quick learning and clear communication. My core subjects were Java and DBMS, and I've solved about 300 coding problems. In my internship I was productive on an unfamiliar codebase within two weeks. And I presented our project every week to our guide, so I can explain technical work clearly. I want to spend my first year going deep on one platform, and this role offers that."

10. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: kya aap tikenge, aur kya aapki growth company ki growth se match karti hai. "Manager ban jaunga" ya "apna business" mat bolein. Skill-based jawab.

English answer: "In five years I want to be a senior developer who owns a module end to end and mentors freshers the way I hope to be mentored now. I'd like to have deep expertise in one area, probably backend systems, rather than surface knowledge of many."

11. What do you know about our company?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: homework. Company ki website aur ek-do recent news padh kar jaayein. Teen facts kaafi hain: kya karti hai, kahan hai, ek recent cheez.

English answer: "You're an IT services company headquartered in Bengaluru, with a large presence in banking and healthcare clients. I read that you recently opened a development centre in Indore. I also went through your fresher training structure on the careers page, which is one of the reasons I applied."

12. Why did you choose this field?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: kya yeh choice aapki thi ya sirf "sab kar rahe the". Ek real reason, ek example.

English answer: "I chose computer science because I enjoy building things that people actually use. In class 11 I made a small website for my father's shop, and seeing customers use it to check prices was the moment I decided. That's still what I like most about the field."

13. What are your salary expectations?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: kya aap company ka fresher band jaante hain aur kya aap reasonable hain. Campus hiring mein CTC fixed hota hai; off-campus mein range poochh sakte hain. Poori guide HR questions for freshers mein hai.

English answer: "As a fresher, I'm more focused on learning and the role than on a specific number. I understand the standard fresher package for this role is around the industry range, and I'm comfortable with that. If you can share the band, I'm happy to discuss."

Part 3: Situational aur closing questions (Questions 14–20)

14. Are you willing to relocate?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: flexibility. IT companies mein posting kahin bhi ho sakti hai. Agar sach mein relocate kar sakte hain to seedha "yes"; agar koi constraint hai to honestly batayein.

English answer: "Yes, I'm open to relocating anywhere in India. I've already discussed it with my family, and they're supportive. I'd prefer a city with a large office, but it's not a condition."

15. Are you comfortable with a service agreement or night shifts?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: bond aur shifts Indian IT aur BPO mein common hain. Interviewer dekh raha hai ki aap terms samajhte hain aur commit kar sakte hain.

English answer: "Yes. I understand the service agreement covers the training investment, and I'm planning to stay and grow here, so it isn't a concern. I'm also fine with rotational shifts if the role needs them."

16. How do you handle pressure?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: ek example jab deadline ya pressure tha, aapne kya kiya, result kya tha. "I work well under pressure" bina example ke khali hai.

English answer: "I break the work into small pieces and finish the most important one first. During my final semester, our project demo and two exams fell in the same week. I made a day-wise plan, finished the demo two days early, and still scored well in both exams. Planning is how I handle pressure."

17. Tell me about a time you worked in a team

Kya poochha ja raha hai: STAR answer: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Apna specific role batayein, team ka poora credit apna mat lein.

English answer: "In our final-year project we were four people with different skills. My task was the backend, but halfway through, one teammate fell behind on the front end. I paired with him for a week in the evenings to finish his screens, and we split the remaining work again. We submitted on time and got the highest project score in our section."

18. How do you handle failure?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: kya aap failure se seekhte hain ya blame karte hain. Ek real failure, aapne kya seekha, aur uske baad kya badla.

English answer: "In my second year I failed to clear the first round of a coding competition because I hadn't practised timed problems. Instead of giving up, I started solving one timed problem every day. The next year I reached the final round. I've learned that most failures come from missing preparation, and preparation is something I can control."

19. Why is your percentage low, or do you have any backlogs?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: honesty aur ownership. Bahana nahi; short reason, kya seekha, aur baad mein kya sudhra.

English answer: "My second-year percentage dropped to 62 because I took on too many activities and didn't manage my time well. I fixed that in the third year by planning my week, and my score went up to 76. There are no active backlogs. I learned to balance commitments the hard way, and it hasn't happened since."

20. Do you have any questions for us?

Kya poochha ja raha hai: interest. "No" kabhi mat bolein. Do sawaal taiyaar rakhein: role ke baare mein, training ke baare mein. Salary ya leave ke baare mein yahan mat poochhein.

English answer: "Yes, two questions. What does a typical first project look like for a fresher in this role? And how is the training period structured, is it classroom-based or on a live project?"

Pronunciation aur confidence tips

  • Common galtiyan pehchaanein. "Develop" mein stress "ve" par hai (de-VE-lop), "de" par nahi. "Project" noun hai to PRO-ject. "Comfortable" ko "com-fort-able" nahi, "COMF-tuh-bul" bolein. "Ask" hai, "aks" nahi.
  • Grammar se zyada clarity. "I have done B.Tech" thoda galat hai, "I did my B.Tech" sahi hai, lekin dono samajh aate hain. Rukna aur sochna galti se zyada nuksan karta hai.
  • Hindi word aa jaaye to rukein mat. "matlab", "basically" ya "actually" nikal jaaye to seedha aage badhein. Interviewer ne notice bhi nahi kiya hoga.
  • Filler words ki jagah pause. "Umm", "like", "you know" ki jagah ek second chup rahein. Pause confident lagta hai.
  • Aankhon mein dekhein, camera mein nahi screen mein. Video interview mein camera ki taraf dekhein, apne chehre ki taraf nahi.
  • Pehla sentence yaad rakhein. Har answer ka sirf pehla sentence ratt lein. Shuru sahi ho jaaye to baaki apne aap aata hai.
  • Zor se practice karein, mann mein nahi. English bolne ki practice bolne se hoti hai, padhne se nahi. Roz 10 minute apne aap se in 20 questions par baat karein.

English mein practice kaise karein

In 20 answers ko padh lena kaafi nahi hai; inhe bolna padega, aur kisi ke saamne bolna padega jo follow-up poochhe. Teen tarike hain: khud ko phone par record karna, kisi dost ya senior se mock lena, ya AI ke saath. Mock interview ka matlab aur teeno tarike alag guide mein hain.

MockMate ke Practice session mein aap browser mein English mein interview dete hain. Sawaal adaptive hain: aap project bolenge to interviewer persona project par poochhega, weakness bolenge to example par dabav daalega. Aap apni spoken language set kar sakte hain; transcription aur answers Hinglish mein bhi kaam karte hain, isliye agar beech mein Hindi word aa jaaye to session natural chalta hai. Session ke end mein report milti hai: har sawaal ka aapka answer, response timing, coaching evidence, aur woh weaknesses jo baar-baar dikh rahi hain. Eligible accounts ko 3 free Practice starts milte hain, har ek 10 minute tak. Windows companion app ka Live assistance alag mode hai: use sirf wahin karein jahan organisation ya interviewer assistance ki permission de aur aapne bataya ho, aur jab permission clear na ho to Practice chunein.

Ek zaroori baat: MockMate ka Live assistance sirf wahan use karein jahan interviewer ya organisation ne assistance allowed ki ho aur aap disclose kar sakein. Agar doubt ho, to sirf Practice mode use karein; exam ya proctored assessment mein Live mode ka use allowed nahi hai.

Aksar puche jaane wale sawaal

Interview English mein dena zaroori hai kya?

Zyadatar IT, BPO, banking aur corporate jobs mein HR round English mein hota hai, kyunki client aur team communication English mein hoti hai. Sales, retail aur field roles mein Hinglish chal jaata hai. Safe tarika: English version taiyaar rakhein aur interviewer ki bhasha follow karein.

Meri English weak hai, tab interview kaise dun?

Chhote sentences bolein, dheere bolein, aur technical words English mein hi rakhein. Interviewer grammar nahi, clarity dekhta hai. Is page ke 20 answers ko ratta mat lagayein; unka structure samjhein aur apne words mein 5-6 baar zor se bolein.

Agar koi sawaal samajh na aaye to kya karein?

Bina ghabraye poochhein: 'Sorry, could you please repeat the question?' ya 'Do you mean ... ?' Yeh galti nahi, professional behaviour hai. Galat sawaal ka jawab dena isse kahin bura hai.

Answer kitne lambe hone chahiye?

Tell me about yourself 60 second. Baaki HR questions 20-40 second. Situational ya STAR questions 60-90 second. Iske upar interviewer ka dhyan hatne lagta hai.

Kya answer ratta lagana theek hai?

Nahi. Ratta hua answer ratta hi lagta hai, aur pehle follow-up par toot jaata hai. Har answer ke 3-4 bullet points yaad rakhein aur sentences har baar apne banayein.
