MockMate vs InterviewLift: What a Live Interview Copilot Costs in India
MockMate vs InterviewLift for Indian job seekers: ₹999 an hour vs ₹4,720 a round, free starts vs no trial, Mac support, refunds and stealth claims.
If you have seen an InterviewLift ad and are weighing it against MockMate, you are comparing two interview copilots that both court Indian candidates. Each one listens to a live interview and puts suggested answers on your screen. They differ in how you pay, how much you pay, what you can try for free, and what each company bundles around the live help.
Every InterviewLift figure below was read on interviewlift.com on 18 October 2026, and every MockMate figure on mock-mate.com the same day. InterviewLift lists its prices before GST; MockMate's include it. To compare like with like, this page adds InterviewLift's 18% GST and shows both sides as the amount you actually pay, before any coupon.

Price per interview, in rupees
Here is what the same amount of live help costs on each side, GST included on both.
| What you need | MockMate | InterviewLift |
|---|---|---|
| One interview of up to an hour | ₹999 (1 credit) | ₹4,720 (1 round) |
| Three such interviews | ₹1,749 (3 credits) | ₹11,800 (3 rounds) |
| About fifteen interviews | ₹5,249 (9 + 6 free = 15 credits) | ₹28,320 (Silver: 15 sessions within 90 days) |
| Unlimited for a week | ₹2,349 (week pass) | No weekly option |
| Unlimited for a month | ₹4,499 a month, renews until cancelled | No monthly option |

How the units differ. A MockMate credit is one hour of live sessions, and a 30-minute session uses 0.5 credit. An InterviewLift session is one continuous interview round of up to 90 minutes; its pricing FAQ says a longer round continues at no extra cost, and a session cancelled before any answer is not deducted. So the gap narrows for long rounds, because a 90-minute round on MockMate uses 1.5 credits. Even then, the 3-credit pack (₹1,749) covers two 90-minute rounds, about ₹875 each, against ₹4,720 for one InterviewLift round.
Reading InterviewLift's prices. Its pricing page shows every pack and plan as "50% OFF" a list price twice as high (₹8,000 struck through next to ₹4,000 for one round, for example) and adds 18% GST, which it itemises and can put on a GST invoice. Its homepage was also running a festival discount when we checked. The figures on this page are the prices shown on the pricing page plus GST, without any coupon. MockMate's prices already include GST and are shown in rupees to visitors in India.
Bundles change the picture a little. InterviewLift's plans are not only live rounds. Silver (₹28,320 with GST) includes 15 AI resume builds and email support. Gold (₹56,640) adds a dedicated success manager on WhatsApp and email, phone and video support, and the choice of AI model. Diamond (₹1,13,280) adds four 45-minute sessions with a senior coach, LinkedIn and Naukri profile optimisation twice a year, and 30 days of post-offer support. MockMate's credits and Unlimited buy live sessions and their features, free resume analysis is included, and human coaching is not something MockMate sells. If a human coach is what you want, that part of InterviewLift's price has no MockMate equivalent.
Trying before you pay
MockMate gives every eligible account three Practice starts and three Live starts, each up to ten minutes, with no card. The allowances are tracked on the server for the life of the account, so reinstalling the app or clearing your browser does not reset them. That is enough to check, in a real call, whether transcription keeps up with your accent and whether the answers are useful to you.
InterviewLift says plainly in its pricing FAQ that it does not offer a free trial, and suggests the 1-round pack (₹4,720 with GST) as the lowest-risk test. The app is free to install, and the company offers a free 30-minute one-on-one demo call with a "success manager", booked from its website. A demo shows you the product; it does not let you try it in your own interview.
Refunds and expiry
Neither product is generous with refunds, so the free or cheapest way in matters.
- InterviewLift: round packs are non-refundable once a session has started. Silver has no refund window. Gold and Diamond carry a 3-day money-back guarantee that applies only if the app does not give answers and its tech team cannot fix the problem; you write to support within 72 hours of purchase. Packs are valid for 30 days from purchase, and plan sessions roll over only within the plan's 90, 180 or 365 days.
- MockMate: paid credits are non-refundable once purchased, except for a confirmed duplicate charge or where the law requires a refund. Cancelling Monthly Unlimited stops the next renewal; the week and year passes are paid once and do not renew. Credits never expire, and cancelling a Live session before it starts uses no credit.
Platforms, inputs and models
InterviewLift supports Windows 10 or later (64-bit) and macOS 12.3 or later on Intel and Apple Silicon. MockMate's Live companion is a native Windows 10/11 app and there is no Mac app, though MockMate Practice runs in any browser, including on a Mac. If you interview from a MacBook and want live help, InterviewLift is the one of the two that runs.
In a live round, InterviewLift takes live audio, a screenshot or text pasted from the clipboard. MockMate transcribes your microphone and the system audio, and lets you deliberately capture a screenshot or the visible text of a problem, which waits in a queue you can clear before anything is sent. Each MockMate answer says whether it came from the transcript, typed text, screen text or a screenshot. Both tools tune answers to your job description; MockMate also grounds them in the resume and notes you attach before the session starts.
On models, InterviewLift routes questions across models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and xAI, and lets Gold and Diamond users pin one model per session. MockMate lets you pick the cloud model, switch it during a session, and choose how deep the reasoning should go.
Hinglish
Many Indian interviews mix Hindi and English in the same sentence. MockMate lets you set your spoken language, and its transcription and answers handle Hinglish, so a question like "Is project mein aapka role kya tha?" comes back as an answer you can use. InterviewLift's homepage cites support for more than 50 languages; we did not find Hindi or Hinglish named on the pages we checked. If your rounds sound like that, test it before paying for either one; MockMate's free Live starts exist for exactly that check. See the Hindi and Hinglish interview copilot page for how it works.
Stealth claims and the permission question
InterviewLift's pricing page says Jarvis, its copilot, is hidden from Zoom, Meet, Teams, Task Manager, the Dock and Recent Apps, and the FAQ on that page says the app is tested against Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and HackerEarth before every release. MockMate does not make an invisibility promise. Its Windows companion is a compact always-on-top window with a one-key hide, a Privacy Mode and capture resistance on supported Windows display paths, and MockMate's own pages say this is not a guarantee of invisibility. Whether any window shows up depends on how Windows composes the screen and which capture method a meeting app uses; our explainer on whether Zoom, Meet or Teams can detect an overlay covers the mechanics.
The more important difference is permission. MockMate's Acceptable Use Policy says to use Live assistance only where the organisation, interviewer or applicable rules permit it, and to use Practice when permission is unclear. We did not find an equivalent restriction on the InterviewLift pages we checked. Whatever a tool says about being hidden, using it in a proctored test or a round that bans assistance breaks the rules of that round, and in India that can cost an offer or a job later. Read whether using an AI interview copilot is cheating and our note on Talview, HackerEarth and Mettl proctoring before you decide.
Verdict by persona
Fresher with a few interviews
MockMate. Use the free starts first. After that, a 1-credit (₹999) or 3-credit (₹1,749) pack covers a few campus or off-campus rounds for less than one InterviewLift round, and the credits never expire if your next round is months away.
Experienced candidate interviewing every week
Price the month first. MockMate Unlimited is ₹4,499 a month, or ₹2,349 for a single heavy week. InterviewLift's cheapest plan is Silver at ₹28,320 for 15 sessions over three months, and unlimited use there needs the 12-month Diamond plan at ₹1,13,280.
Mac user
InterviewLift, if you need live help on a Mac, because MockMate's Live companion is Windows-only. MockMate Practice still works in a Mac browser for rehearsal and reports.
Someone who wants a human coach
InterviewLift's Gold and Diamond plans bundle a success manager and, on Diamond, sessions with a senior coach. MockMate does not sell human coaching. Decide whether that is worth the difference, because the live rounds alone cost far less on MockMate.
Bottom line
On price, MockMate is cheaper at every level we could compare: ₹999 against ₹4,720 for one interview, and ₹17,999 against ₹1,13,280 for a year, GST included on both sides. It is free to try in a real call and its credits never expire. InterviewLift runs on a Mac and bundles resume builds and, on its upper plans, human support. Pick the one that matches your laptop, how many rounds you have and whether you want a person in your corner, and keep live help for rounds where it is allowed. Prices change, so check both pricing pages on the day you buy.
Frequently asked questions
Is MockMate cheaper than InterviewLift?
Yes, at every level we could compare. As of 18 October 2026, one MockMate credit (one live hour) costs ₹999 including GST, against ₹4,720 including GST for one InterviewLift round of up to 90 minutes. A year of MockMate Unlimited is ₹17,999; InterviewLift's 12-month Diamond plan is ₹1,13,280 including GST. InterviewLift's plans also bundle AI resume builds and, on Gold and Diamond, a human success manager, which MockMate does not sell.
Does InterviewLift have a free trial?
No. Its pricing FAQ says it does not offer one and suggests the 1-round pack (₹4,720 with GST) as the lowest-risk test; it also offers a free 30-minute demo call (last verified October 2026). MockMate gives eligible accounts 3 Practice and 3 Live starts of up to 10 minutes each, with no card.
Can I get a refund from either?
Rarely. InterviewLift's round packs are non-refundable once a session starts, Silver has no refund window, and the 3-day guarantee on Gold and Diamond applies only if the app gives no answers and its team cannot fix it (last verified October 2026). MockMate's paid credits are non-refundable except for a confirmed duplicate charge or where the law requires a refund, and cancelling Monthly Unlimited stops the next renewal.
Does either tool work on a Mac?
InterviewLift supports macOS 12.3 or later on Intel and Apple Silicon, as well as Windows 10 or later. MockMate's Live companion is Windows 10/11 only; MockMate Practice runs in any browser, including on a Mac.
Do MockMate credits or InterviewLift rounds expire?
MockMate credits never expire. InterviewLift round packs are valid for 30 days from purchase, and plan sessions roll over only within the plan's 90, 180 or 365 days (last verified October 2026).
Can I use either tool in a proctored assessment?
You should not. MockMate's policy is to use Live assistance only where the organisation, interviewer or applicable rules permit it, and to use Practice when permission is unclear. A proctored test that bans assistance is a violation whatever a tool claims about being hidden.
Try MockMate free: 3 Practice + 3 Live starts
Three free Practice starts and three free Live starts of up to ten minutes each, no card needed. Use Live only where assistance is permitted.
