LockedIn AI's pricing page describes an Unlimited plan ("optimized for technical interviews", "money-back guarantee") and a Credits plan ("credits never expire"), in General and Professional tiers. The amounts did not render in the public page we fetched. LockedIn's own comparison page against Parakeet AI states "$39.99/month" and calls LockedIn "73% more affordable" than that rival. No INR figure appears anywhere on the LockedIn pages we checked, and LockedIn's pricing may vary by region, so the price you see in India could differ from the one a US visitor sees. Verify on the page before you pay.

MockMate publishes its rupee prices on the pricing page. As of October 2026 credits cost ₹999 for 1, ₹1,749 for 3, ₹3,499 for 8 (6 + 2 free) or ₹5,249 for 15 (9 + 6 free), and Unlimited costs ₹2,349 for a week, ₹4,499 a month or ₹17,999 for a year; every price includes 18% GST. One credit is roughly 60 minutes; sessions are billed in 30-minute blocks of 0.5 credit with a 10-minute grace window. The week and year passes are paid once; only Monthly Unlimited renews, until you cancel.

Both products, interestingly, sell credits next to an unlimited option. LockedIn's credits "never expire", and neither do MockMate's; MockMate's free starts are tracked per account and reinstalling does not reset them. The difference is the shape of unlimited: LockedIn's headline is an unlimited monthly plan, while MockMate sells Unlimited as a week or a year paid once, or a month that renews. If your job hunt is short, prepaid credits keep spend bounded. If you are grinding interviews daily for months, unlimited can be cheaper per hour. Platforms: everywhere vs Windows

LockedIn wins this row without argument. Windows 10+, macOS 13.1+, iOS, Android, five Chromium browsers, and editor plugins for VS Code and Cursor. If you code in Cursor and want the copilot inside the editor, that is a specific advantage.

MockMate's Live companion is a native Windows 10/11 app. Its argument for the narrow scope is depth: OS-level microphone and system-audio capture regardless of meeting client, visible input health before the call, a compact tool window rather than a browser tab, and a Privacy Mode. Practice runs in any browser, so the web side is cross-platform. If you are not on Windows, this comparison is over: LockedIn is the one that runs.

Stealth: two different mechanisms, neither a guarantee

LockedIn's safety page describes hiding the app's presence: no taskbar icon, no dock icon, no app-switcher entry, nothing in tab bars or share strips. Its homepage says it "operates quietly in the background with no persistent system interface presence". The mechanism is about not appearing in the lists a meeting app shows you when you pick what to share, and about not being an obvious window.

MockMate's mechanism is different: it is a visible, compact tool window for you, with one-key hide, plus capture resistance on supported Windows display paths so that the window is excluded from certain capture methods. That is platform-dependent and MockMate says it is not a guarantee. It also says the quiet part out loud: no vendor can promise invisibility across every capture path, every client and every proctoring browser. Coding help: the row where LockedIn is most complete

LockedIn's Coding Copilot is the most fully described feature on its site: it parses the input, generates an approach, produces executable code and a complexity analysis, supports multi-screenshot linking for debugging, and names HackerRank, CoderPad, LeetCode, CodeSignal and Codility. Plus the editor plugins.

MockMate's coding help is deliberate rather than continuous. In Live, you capture a screenshot or the visible text of the problem yourself; it sits in a queue you can edit or clear; the answer is labelled as coming from screen text or a screenshot. These are not the same thing and should not be confused. LockedIn Duo lets a trusted human watch your session from outside the call and send you text, code snippets and voice-to-text guidance. MockMate's Agent Workspace (Beta) is an AI feature for goal-driven, multi-step tasks with a visible plan, progress, confirmations and a stop control; there is no human-in-the-loop helper. MockMate suits engineers who interview a few times a quarter, want labelled sources on every answer and prefer to control capture. Either way, a senior-level offer discovered to have been earned with an undisclosed assistant is the worst outcome in this whole category.

Non-tech roles
